How to start preparing for UPSC?

 How to start, first make up your mind

Before giving the UPSC exam,you have to decide that you are really want to give that exam and will not leave it in the middle because UPSC is such an exam in which failure has to be faced again and again, so before giving the UPSC exam you have to think why do you want to give UPSC exam? A strong foundation is the key of success. During the preparation of the exam, you never feel that you will not be able to crack the exam. Can't get through with you and whenever you want to leave it and want to stop your preparation here, then think of that phase when you thought that you would give this exam and get a prestigious position.

    Understand your syllabus.   

Check your syllabus and understand. 

   There are very vast syllabus so candidate can confuse,so before preparation you should always check the syllabus on official website UPSC official website  to avoiding mistakes. And it help in understanding what to read and what not to read. And those questions asked in exam are always with in the syllabus. 

  Start preparation with right strategies.  

Strategies are always helpful for everyone no matter for which field he/she belong . If you do something with a strategy, then it becomes easy. So to achieve your goal make a right strategy. 

   Book     

Ncert book is the best and enough for UPSC (from class vi to xii). You can also read other but after when you finish ncert books. 

Make notes.    

 You must make notes for the last revision.If you make notes, you will not need to watch any video again or re-attend any lecture because you will have your own notes which you will understand in a glance. 

Focus on important topic. 

Some important topic :--preliminary 

    Read newspaper on daily basis.   

The Weightage of current affairs is increasing in prelims exam every passing year, so, read newspaper and up to date with current affairs is crucial as per new trend of question and you can also follow one, two magazines to cover your syllabus topics. 

Revision. 

There is no memory card in our head. So that we can't remember everything by reading in once. Therefore it is very important to repeat or else our whole year's hard work will be spoiled. 

Scheduled. 

 Make a schedule as per your daily routine and follow it and give a deadline. And promise that you will finish that topic within this time limit.
